Job Description

Experienced Vet Surgeon - Edinburgh

Join an independent practice in the vibrant city of Edinburgh! Collaborate with an experienced and supportive team, including a Certificate holder. Enjoy a competitive salary of up to £65,000. Flexible full-time or part-time opportunities with no out-of-hours commitments. Work in a bright, modern clinic featuring dedicated cat and dog waiting areas and wards, plus state-of-the-art facilities including X-ray, dental X-ray, and on-site CT scan!

This fantastic practice is excited to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (5+ years qualified) to join their dedicated team as they approach their second anniversary. This role offers the opportunity to work 30-40 hours per week alongside a supportive and enthusiastic team.

The clinic is a bright, modern, and spacious facility equipped with separate cat and dog waiting areas and wards, as well as laparoscopy equipment, X-ray and dental X-ray capabilities, and on-site CT. As an independent practice, decisions are made with the best interests of patients, pet owners, and the team in mind.

The practice is interested in candidates with a strong interest in consulting and client care. A bias toward medicine is highly desirable. Extended consult times allow vets to thoroughly investigate cases for their dedicated client base, who are typically eager to provide the best possible care for their pets.

Whether you prefer minimal surgical responsibilities, wish to specialise in imaging and diagnostics, or aspire to further develop a specialism or introduce a new service, the clinic is open to discussions to create the ideal role.

  • 6.6 weeks of annual leave.
  • Tailored CPD opportunities and non-clinical support and coaching.
  • Health Shield membership and an annual wellness allowance.
