Job Description
Vice President, Investor Relations (Private Equity)
VP-level role in the IR team of a global private equity firm with responsibility for maintaining day-to-day relationships with existing and potential LPs and providing analytical and project management support for IR and fundraising activities. This opportunity would suit an individual who wants to work as part of a market-leading Investor Relations function and who enjoys the more technical aspects of the role versus a client facing role.
Responsibilities- Project managing the fundraising process including producing materials and overseeing DDQs and other sophisticated analyses
- Leading on the key projects including annual investor meetings and other strategic events, including creating and enhancing materials and communications for these sessions
- Database management and data analysis relating to existing and potential LPs
- Completing timely investor information and data requests
- Line managing and mentoring more junior members of the IR team
- Building relationships and working closely with internal colleagues on other teams across the business
- Reviewing and improving quarterly reporting collateral as well as pitchbooks
- Must have at least seven years total career experience, of which at least five in a similar IR project management role either in-house with a private equity firm or in a placement agent
- Must have participated in end-to-end fundraising including completing RFIs and DDQs
- Knowledge of illiquid private markets strategies is essential
- Earlier career training likely to have been in investment banking or transaction services with strong quantitative proficiency (including understanding investment committee memos, returns analyses etc)
- Experience managing and developing more junior colleagues
- Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field with additional qualifications such as the CAIA welcome
- Suits an individual with a high degree of analytical capability, strong attention to detail and time management, as well as extremely strong communication skills
