Tempcover is at the forefront of the fast-growing world of short term insurance. Our mission is to make car insurance flexible, quick, and easy for drivers. We've sold millions of policies that have helped drivers get where they need to go, but we're not finished there. We're growing our team to help us continue in that mission. If you are extraordinary at what you do and want to be a part of a rapidly growing business at the cutting edge of the InsureTech industry, we would love to hear from you.
About the role:
We are seeking a Visual Marketing Designer to help accelerate and grow our digital marketing efforts in new channels such as Social, YouTube, Display and others. As a creative-focused Visual Designer, you will lead and craft the visual identity and aesthetics of the Tempcover brand. As our 2nd Visual Designer, you'll work to craft our products and services that engage and delight Tempcover customers, with a focus on delivering high performing marketing assets tailored to the aesthetic of the brand.
Creative is one of the most important performance levers we have, and so we're looking for someone who can help us continue to evolve creative into a strength at Tempcover. In this role you will design assets to be used in these various channels for paid marketing campaigns, in collaboration with the paid social executives, the content team, and analysts to help learn and iterate with new kinds of creative. You will:
- Drive the creative aesthetics for the future of the Tempcover brand, from new ways to express our brand to new graphic devices that exist across all touchpoints.
- Execute the Tempcover visual identity across our digital products and services to provide a customer experience that connects emotionally with the Tempcover customer base, builds trust, and enables customers to easily flow through product journeys.
- Create design assets for use in multiple digital paid media channels.
- Experiment with different ad formats and templates to find the right solution to drive action with target audiences.
- Build new design templates to help create multiple versions of assets that can be used.
- Tailor creative assets to suit different audience types.
- Work with market researchers and other designers for stimuli on the right types of creative that would maximise performance.
- Collaborate with analysts and social media executives to understand how different creatives impact performance, and then use the results to inform future work.
What we're looking for
- Experience in a design role delivering design assets for paid digital channels.
- Experience creating engaging assets for different ad formats and social channels; video creation and editing skills are a plus.
- Proven track record of improving ad creative performance.
- Collaborative working style and experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Well versed in image creation and manipulation software (Photoshop/Illustrator); video editing and motion graphics skills (After Effects/Premiere Pro etc.) are a plus.
- Experience designing across all digital touchpoints and devices.
- Great at communicating the thinking behind your work.
We are looking for a portfolio that demonstrates your thinking behind the 'final' visuals. What did you do and why did you do it? It must also demonstrate that you have worked on digital products across multi touch points and platforms.
You don't need to tick off everything on this list - so don't let that hold you back from applying. We want to make sure you're learning plenty during your time with us!
Our commitment to you:
At RVU, we are dedicated to developing valuable, inclusive, and user-friendly products and services that deliver positive outcomes for all of our customers. To achieve this it's essential that our teams reflect the diverse range of people in our community. We believe in being the change we wish to see in the world, by embracing our differences and holding ourselves accountable to being open and inclusive teammates and wider community members.
What we offer
We want to give you a great work environment, support your growth both personally and professionally, and provide benefits that make your time at RVU even more enjoyable. Here are some of the benefits you can look forward to:
- 10% discretionary yearly bonus and yearly pay reviews (based on RVU and personal performance).
- A hybrid working approach with 2 in-office days per week and up to 22 working days per year to "work from anywhere."
- Employer matching pension contributions up to 7.5%.
- A one-off £300 "Work from Home" budget to help contribute towards a great work environment at home.
- Excellent maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption leave policy, for those key moments in your life.

- Private medical cover, critical illness cover and employee assistance programme.
- A healthy learning and training budget.
- Electric vehicle and cycle to work schemes.
- Regular events - from team socials to company-wide events with insightful external speakers, we want to make sure our colleagues continue to feel connected.
As a tech company who strives to get better every day, we use Metaview during the interview processes for note taking purposes. This records and transcribes interviews so the interviewer can fully focus on your conversation, rather than writing. This has no bearing on the assessment of you as a candidate and you can opt out at any time. Just let us know.
