Warranty Specialist

About the role:
We are looking for a full-time Warranty Specialist to join the passenger cars team at BYD UK, Uxbridge, London area. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and reviewing warranty claims, handling dealer system inquiries, and managing warranty payments. The role will also support system improvements, provide dealer training, manage warranty parts returns, and conduct audits to ensure compliance with warranty policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Review warranty claim reviews for right-hand drive markets in Europe, including the UK, Ireland, Malta, and Cyprus.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage warranty settlement processes and process monthly warranty payments.
- Handle and respond to daily DMS system inquiries from dealers, ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Collect and analyze aftersales system improvement requests from the UK market, communicate requirements to the HQ DMS product team, and track the launch of new features.
- Deliver onsite warranty training to dealers, ensuring compliance with BYD's warranty policies, procedures, system
- Manage the return process for warranty parts, ensuring proper tracking and handling.
- Conduct annual warranty audits to ensure adherence to warranty policies and compliance with regulatory standards.
Skills and requirements
- Associate degree or above in any field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience; familiarity with after-sales service processes is preferred.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken, able to communicate seamlessly with the local team and customers.
- Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
- Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills, able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Detail-oriented and responsible, with a strong attention to detail.
- Team player, capable of adapting to a multicultural work environment.
- Problem-solving skills, able to work effectively under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of financial management is an advantage.
- Has right-to-work in the UK.
