WebFOCUS Developer & Data Analyst

Location: Brussels (Hybrid)

Contract Type: Open to Freelance or Permanent

Languages: Dutch or French (fluent) + English (professional level)

We are supporting a well-established organization in the HR and business services sector in their search for an experienced WebFOCUS Developer & Data Analyst. You'll be part of the internal data team and play a key role in delivering impactful dashboards and reporting tools that support both operational and strategic needs.

This role is open to both freelancers and permanent employees looking to contribute in a data-focused, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data and reporting needs in collaboration with internal teams and product owners.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders in translating business needs into technical reporting requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement reports and dashboards using WebFOCUS tools: Dialogue Manager, AppStudio, and InfoAssist+.
• Support and enhance existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reporting solutions remain robust and user-friendly.
• Participate in functional, technical, and UAT testing, and resolve identified issues.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of reporting standards and best practices.
  

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of IT experience, including 7+ years of hands-on WebFOCUS development.
• Strong command of WebFOCUS architecture (version 8/9.2) and its security concepts.
• Experience with metadata creation and the full WebFOCUS reporting suite.
• Solid skills in SQL, data analysis, and optimization.
• Ability to convert complex business questions into clear technical solutions.
• Understanding of SDLC processes.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse design and architecture.
• Experience customizing WebFOCUS portals.
• Familiarity with data modeling, reporting methodologies, and project delivery frameworks.
