What You'll Do

We are seeking a working student in Munich, knowledgeable and passionate about the private equity and principal investor landscape. In this role, you will be expected to understand the deal environment and how investors evaluate opportunities. You should be comfortable working with databases and enthusiastic about learning and applying digital tools and capabilities to enhance analytical depth and strategic thinking.

You will support the PIPE (Principal Investors & Private Equity) practice area and gain exposure to our casework and client experiences. You should be an analytical thinker, a fast learner, and bring a service-oriented mindset. We are looking for someone who is able to think creatively about how to address cross-industry business questions through data and be eager to take on new tasks while continually expanding their professional toolkit.

Some of your tasks include:

• Updating our internal private equity databases
• Supporting our BCG Vantage analyst team with research tasks and analyses
• Online research
• Supporting internal projects

You can work up to 20 hours/week during your semesters and up to 40 hours/week during your vacation time. The role offers enough flexibility to combine personal, academic, and professional life. This is a temporary role from min. 12 to max. 24 months. You need to be an enrolled university student in Munich.

What You'll Bring

• Ongoing Bachelor's or Master's studies with high academic achievements (socio-economic sciences, business administration or similar)
• Interest in private equity and infrastructure investor topics
• Some previous experience in the financial area (ideally in private equity) as a working student or an intern
• Creative, yet structured problem solver and autonomous self-starter
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple tasks in parallel
• Strong organization and project management skills
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
• Strong interpersonal credibility, reliability, and service mentality
