Are you a skilled sales professional with a passion for the public sector? We're seeking an Account Director to lead our Public Sector London team.

This role is pivotal in introducing Stone's extensive Public Sector portfolio-covering Hardware, Infrastructure, AV, Licensing, and Security-to new prospects while growing our existing customer base.

You will manage key accounts, identify opportunities for growth, and support Stone Group's strategic objectives.

This is a home-based position with regular travel to existing and potential customers in Central London and occasional visits to our HQ in Stafford.

Key Tasks:
  • Achieve revenue and profit targets for your segment as outlined by the Public Sector Sales Director.
  • Develop and expand your customer account base by proactively seeking new clients and growing existing relationships.
  • Identify and manage new business opportunities to meet business objectives.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for short, medium, and long-term business goals.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting and manage customer data.
  • Oversee relationships with key customers and support the sales team with insights and information sharing.
  • Handle customer complaints and provide additional support as needed.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and customer hospitality.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths.
  • Full driving license.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Business Development or External Sales role.
  • Proven experience in building customer databases and achieving sales targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • NVQ in Business and Communications or Selling Skills.
  • Ability to analyze data sets.
  • Experience with Local and Central Government entities in the non-education public sector.
