ADULT CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST IN EARLY INTERVENTION IN PSYCHOSIS (EIP)

(HAROLD WOOD - HAVERING)

Contract: Substantive

Hours: Frequency 1:50; Category A - 3% on call supplement (Pro-rata)

Location: 137-145 Church Road, Harold Wood, Romford, RM3 0SH

Qualifications needed:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently recruiting to an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Havering Early Intervention in Psychosis Team. This is an established, substantive, part-time role - 5 PAs. We wish to recruit to this role as soon as possible.

Job responsibilities:

You will be expected to:

  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to people with first onset psychosis and those potentially at high risk of developing psychotic disorders
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the team
  • Work directly with young adults and their families, and liaise with other external mental health providers
  • Participate in the on-call rota
  • Support peers and team manager and be an effective team member
  • Commit to collaborative working and actively support and liaise with other health and social professionals
  • Play a key role in developing strong links with services, including Neighbourhood Teams and Primary Care Networks
  • Develop systems to reach out to hard-to-reach communities
Person Specification: Registration:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice

Knowledge:
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
Specialist Register:

Salary: £105,504 to £139,882 per annum pro rata
