- Perform regular 1-2-1 sessions with members of the team, providing constructive feedback and support to promote personal growth & boost team efficiency.
- Undertake necessary administration work, including customer correspondence and record-keeping, ensuring smooth operations and attention to detail.
- Efficiently assign daily operational tasks maximizing productivity levels whilst promoting quality output from the team.
- Operational Duties including but not limited to shift planning & scheduling, daily, weekly, monthly reporting.
- Act as a constant point of reference, offering expert guidance and promptly addressing any queries or escalations raised by or to the team
- Manage the correct application of AML procedures, focusing on risk assessment and customer acceptance policies, ensuring we maintain a secure and trusted environment for our customers.
- Independently identify suspicious behavior and take decisive action as well as flagging high-risk customers to management & the relevant stakeholders
- Escalate any suspicious transactional behavior promptly through established processes, emphasizing the importance of a secure and protected space for our players.
- In collaboration with the AML Compliance team, keep policies up to date and introduce new routines and processes based on the evolving needs of the business.
- Promptly escalate any issues that may impact daily operations to relevant stakeholders
- Conduct frequent quality checks, measure team performance & SLAs, and identify training opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead and conduct additional tasks / projects related to AML & operations which management may deem necessary.
- Review of AML Cases: thoroughly review customer cases analysed by the AML Analysts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness in identifying suspicious activities as well as adherence to internal processes and procedures/protocols.
- Act as the filter and point for escalation of cases to the MLRO. Review cases raised by the AML Analysts before they are escalated to the MLRO and discuss with the DMLRO for further guidance if required.
- Analyst Guidance: advise AML Analysts on handling cases more effectively, providing guidance on how to address problematic cases and diffuse challenging situations.
- Risk Identification: identify areas of operational risk within the AML Department and make recommendations for process improvements, compliance enhancements, and additional training to mitigate potential risks.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with AML in the igaming industry
- Post-secondary degree in a related field (analytics, law, finance, criminology, data mining, statistics, audit), or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in an anti-money laundering or compliance environment.
- Excellent command of the English Language both written and oral (C1)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Excellent knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of computer databases/programs and office technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office, Power BI).
- Ability to take ownership and act in line with agreed KPIs;
- Sound knowledge of AML/CFT Laws and Regulations governing the EU, UK and Malta.
- Practical knowledge in developing analytical rules, policies, and operational plans.
- Excellent report writing skills;
