Associate Audit Director - Asset Management and Financial Risks
Posted 10 days 3 hours ago by Barclay Simpson
This major insurance, asset management and pensions company, which is growing both organically and through acquisition, has a position in one of its audit divisions for an Associate Director who potentially could be a succession plan for the Audit Director.
The ideal candidate will have experience of finance risks across a large insurance/pensions/asset management business or potentially an asset management auditor who is looking to broaden their experience. This person is not expected to be an actuary but experience of working with actuaries and having a high-level understanding of their work could help, as would an understanding of operational finance or alternatively a general asset management internal audit background. Not essential but helpful could be knowledge around areas such as Solvency 2.
This is a high performing close-knit audit team. While work is at a fast pace, it is very rewarding, and the bonuses and benefits are market leading. The base location can be either London or Birmingham, and there is some domestic travel expected, e.g. once a month there could be an overnight stay.
This role is high profile and opportunities to develop exist both internally within audit, i.e. to move to Director level in the team which is a definite option or potentially sideways into other audit teams or into the business.
