Are you a seasoned audit professional with expertise in the financial services sector? At RSM, we're seeking an Audit Senior Manager to lead IFRS 9 impairment initiatives across our audit and technical departments. In this high-impact role, you'll support our client-facing teams, collaborate with specialists, and help expand RSM's audit offering in banking, building societies, and retail lending.
As our IFRS 9 impairment lead based out of our London office, you'll develop and implement auditing methodologies for expected credit losses (ECL) across FCA-regulated entities. Reporting to the Head of National Audit Technical and Head of Audit Financial Services, you'll provide frontline support to Audit Engagement Principals, assist with tenders, and review IFRS 9-related communications. This is an opportunity to shape audit quality within the financial sector at RSM.
You will make an impact by:
- Leading the development and implementation of ECL auditing methodologies for FCA-regulated clients.
- Collaborating with sector and modelling experts to enhance audit quality and compliance.
- Creating training materials and supporting resources for IFRS 9 methodology.
- Assisting engagement teams with technical support, proposals, and the delivery of regulated audits.
What we are looking for:

- Experienced Senior Audit Manager with a strong background in banking, retail finance, or commercial finance sectors.
- Extensive IFRS 9 impairment expertise, especially in ECL auditing for financial assets.
- Practical experience with ECL models, particularly in consumer finance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
- ACA, ACCA, CA, or CAI qualification (or equivalent).
