Job Description

Business Analyst (Finance Experience)
Do you have a background or qualification in accountancy/finance? Are you looking for an Analytical position? Do you have a solid foundation in finance and a keen interest in working with ERP systems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

This role could suit a Business Analyst who has a previous background in finance OR someone who is a qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) that is looking to move into more of an Analytical role.

Key Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you will act as a bridge between customer stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with customers to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Analysing existing processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Designing and recommending solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Working closely with development teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented effectively.
  • Managing communication and coordination between business and IT teams.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience across the following financial domains:
Cost Accounting: Analyze and report on cost structures within the manufacturing domain.
General Ledger Accounting: Oversee and evaluate general ledger transactions.
Accounts Management:
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Accounts Payable
    • Bank Transactions
Stock Movements: Monitor and analyse inventory flow for accurate financial reporting.
Journals: Process and review journal entries with precision.
  • Understanding of ERP systems and their complexities
  • Experience in manufacturing or a similar environment is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with cost accounting and general ledger processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The position is hybrid (2 days p/w near to Crewe), so you need be living within commuting distance (North West, North East Wales, Crewe, Frodsham, Nantwich, Shrewsbury, Telford, Winsford, Sandbach, Knutsford, Stockport, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Warrington, Runcorn, Chester, Ellesmere Port, Oswestry, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Congleton, Macclesfield, South Manchester).
