Overview
This Senior role is a mixture of both Global Relationship Management and Sales Leadership, focusing on growing our Market Share within the Technology Sector environment, specifically developing solutions in delivering Day 2 / Smart Hand Services to both existing and new customers.
This newly created role within ONNEC is critical to the sales and growth strategy globally. The candidate should be hugely ambitious and excited by the possibilities provided by our solutions, leading, building and motivating a Smart Hands focused community.
What you'll be doing as our Business Development Manager (Smart Hands):
- Be the Global Lead subject matter expert (SME) for Day 2 / SMART Hands Solutions.
- Ensure ONNEC's SMART Hands offer is clearly defined, competitive and understood by all sales and operational teams (operationally and commercially).
- Work with Account Leads and Operational Teams to identify and validate Cross Sales opportunities across existing clients.
- Identify and develop the Web of Influence with target clients, building direct key relationships with specific stakeholders.
- Build and own the SMART Hands Pipeline for ONNEC across new clients and organic growth with existing clients, working alongside Account and Operations Director to successfully sell.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop content, collateral and the ONNEC external "voice" for SMART Hands Services, helping raise our profile specifically within the sector.
- Evolve offering in line with market demand to increase ONNEC's share of market.
- Strategic Development - support and execute the SMART Hands growth Strategy, working closely with BDD of Data Centres and Account Directors.
- Leadership/Engagement - engage and motivate the relevant sales and operation teams using the ADP to set a vision and plan of activity in pursuit of growing our services within specific clients.
- Solutions / Offer Design - Support in the design of ONNEC's SMART Hands / Day 2 Services value proposition, working with the relevant teams to develop collateral, go to market plans, commercials, and training of Sales/Operations to proactively sell into clients.
- Consultative Selling - Develop a consultative selling approach, using data and insights and industry experience to drive informed conversations with existing and prospective clients, enhancing the level of engagement and widening our web of influence.
- Industry Expertise - Contribute to sector/subject intelligence (market and trends) that can be published across various mediums to help raise the profile of ONNEC's development and delivery of SMART Hands Services in the industry - becoming a thought leader.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience in a senior sales role.
- Strong technical understanding of the industry sector in all countries ONNEC operates in, specifically in structured cabling, data centre and ICT technologies.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment while making informed decisions.
