About the team

The Strategy & Operations team at Airwallex plays a pivotal role in driving the company's overall growth and efficiency. We are a collaborative group of analysts, strategists, and operational experts passionate about translating vision into action. We leverage data insights, sharp problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the business to optimize processes, identify growth opportunities, and ensure Airwallex operates efficiently and effectively at scale.

What you'll do

As part of the CEO office, you'll be responsible for working closely with the executive team to drive key strategic initiatives worldwide. You are a self-starter and independent thinker with exceptional analytical and communication skills. You can handle highly sensitive and confidential information while supporting a rapidly changing organization.

This role is based in London.

Responsibilities:
  1. Facilitate and manage selected cross-functional deep dives and special projects on business gaps/cases issued by the CEO, whether focused on revenue growth, cost optimization, organizational effectiveness, M&A, etc.
  2. Manage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure they are well-informed of their roles in each project, negotiate timelines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  3. Prepare and update materials for business reviews and related activities, highlighting progress toward goals, key risks, and dependencies.
  4. Be a sounding board to working-level project teams and/or stakeholders, with objectives to resolve inefficiencies and roadblocks and keep the projects within their agreed timelines.
  5. Take a data-driven approach to ensure the overall healthiness of the organization.
  6. Work across functions to deliver IPO readiness.
Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are excellent to have but not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:
  1. 8+ years of experience, preferably with a fast-growing tech startup or top-tier strategy/management consulting or equivalent.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  3. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  4. Self-starter that can identify and prioritize opportunities to focus on.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  6. Technology, financial services, and/or experience in a high-growth environment is advantageous.
  7. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
  1. Someone who enjoys 'getting things done' and finds ways to drive tangible outcomes.
  2. A strategic thinker and analytical in your approach to developing strategies.
  3. Success-oriented and hold yourself accountable for delivering key outcomes.
  4. Someone who works collaboratively with people at all levels and across functions and cultures.
  5. Someone with the ability to synthesize and communicate in a simple but effective manner.
  6. MBA qualification would be a plus.
