Commercial Director - New Markets & Delivery

Here's what you'll be doing:
You'll be leading the ideation, development, and launch of new revenue streams that deliver profitable growth by continuing to provide simplicity, choice, and value to SB's current and future customers, primarily new audiences.
Reporting to Jodi (Chief Commercial Officer), you will form part of the commercial leadership team within Simply Business. This role will be the leading light in developing future innovative growth.
As our Commercial Director, you'll:
- Look out to the future for growth opportunities while leading the team delivering the 'here and now', balancing the resource and priorities.
- Apply external context, knowledge, and trends into the commercial team and beyond, pushing boundaries to support differentiation for SB in the market.
- Determine new market opportunities, qualifying product/market, setting strategy, and defining the SB proposition.
- Engage with the UK senior Exec team to build New Markets strategy; resolving blockers to effective delivery with aligned business-wide support.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is a strategic, visionary leader able to create a compelling strategy, instill confidence, and create followership while setting a clear direction empowering the team to achieve results in unknown territories.
- Drives delivery and decisions, leading the team through high-pressure periods, building resilience to cope and adapt.
- A strong negotiator and influencer who resolves challenges and supports key stakeholders to break boundaries and take risks.
- Is able to continuously improve understanding of customers, leading with insight into trends and their changing needs.
- Undertakes product-market fit having successfully worked within structured frameworks to drive quality and controls into the creative process.
