Job Description

Amicus Therapeutics is a global, patient-dedicated biotechnology company focused on discovering, developing, and delivering high-quality medicines for people living with rare metabolic diseases.

Position Summary

  1. Overall responsibility for commercial performance, strategic development, and oversight of all commercial activities.
  2. Responsible for all country-related commercial business matters including:
    1. The successful achievement of sales targets in collaboration with the National Sales Manager (NSM).
    2. Management of all related activities in marketing.
    3. Collaboration with all other relevant stakeholders and support functions.
  3. Ensure appropriate market positioning of the Amicus product portfolio.
  4. Effectively lead and develop the commercial organization.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with national key opinion leaders, payors, and relevant stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for development and implementation of the local brand plan for commercialized medicines.
  2. Oversight of the continuous tracking and analysis of national and regional sales development, market share, and competitor performance.
  3. Ensure medicines access in each hospital (referring; price negotiation).
  4. Ensure operational effectiveness of the customer-facing team (CRM, Customer engagement, account plans) - conducting regular reviews in collaboration with the NSM.
  5. Planning, tracking, and controlling of national and territory budgets for commercial projects and customer-related activities in collaboration with the NSM.
  6. Ensure a high level of product, therapeutic area, and competitor knowledge of the commercial team.
  7. Ensure compliance with all company and national regulations, and ensure the commercial team is qualified and trained based on company standards.
  8. Provide strong leadership, direction, and development in line with Amicus behaviors to ensure employees are engaged, able to excel in their performance, and ultimately fulfill their potential.
  9. Actively and positively promote the profile of Amicus, ensuring productive and legally appropriate relations with customers and other appropriate external partners.
  10. Work effectively and in partnership with other relevant international functions (e.g., global Marketing, Finance, HR, etc.) and other affiliates.
  11. Own customer contacts regarding defined KOLs and stakeholders.
  12. Coordinate and supervise all service providers, liaise with the international Supply Chain department.
  13. Member of the Amicus Country leadership team.

Requirements

Educational Requirements & Professional Work Experience

  1. Relevant period experience and a track record of success in Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology sales positions in the country of responsibility.
  2. Solid experience in working with rare diseases or specialty care products and demonstrates a good understanding of the science behind the product.
  3. 3 years solid and successful experience in pharmaceutical marketing.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of the local rules and regulations of the pharma market in the country of responsibility.

Experience and Skills

  1. Proven ability to think strategically and have demonstrated focus on delivering action and implementation programs to maintain MAH oversight and control.
  2. Hands-on mentality, autonomous working style, self-starter.
  3. Understands the requirements and demonstrates the capability of working in a start-up environment where the individual's input counts.
  4. Ability to influence the organization to implement new Policies, Procedures, and Programs.

Travel

Regular local, regional, and international travel will be required.
