About the role

At Better Collective, we are on a mission to become the world's leading digital sports media group, and we are intensifying our investments within Paid Media Marketing to achieve this goal. To support our growth and strategic focus, we are seeking a highly analytical and commercially strong Commercial Finance Manager with excellent interpersonal skills.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving investment decisions and business development within Better Collective's Paid Media Division through assisting in the Financial Planning process, performance monitoring, deriving business insights & ensuring these are turned into action. This role is anchored within the Group Finance & BI function, and you will be based in our London office.

Your main responsibilities
  1. Business Insights and Development: Produce business insights according to underlying drivers and recommend actions to identify new brands, markets and advise on and support investments, strategy and pricing decisions.
  2. Business partnering: Collaborate closely with SVP and the leadership team, and act as a primary liaison between the Finance & BI organisation and wider business, ensuring smooth communication and alignment of strategic objectives.
  3. Financial Planning: Spearhead financial planning and analysis for both revenue and cost, including budget tracking, forecasting support, variance analysis and monthly reporting.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively follow up with internal and external stakeholders to diagnose performance issues and drive actionable solutions.
  5. Performance management: Design, lead & implement the development of performance monitoring & reports, and offer KPI insights on business trends.
  6. Forecasting: Assist business owners in the development of accurate and achievable targets through data-driven forecasting, as well as conducting analysis on M&A business cases and post acquisition follow-ups.
Job requirements
  1. At least 2 years' experience as a Finance Business Partner, or analyst in an outward-facing role, with an analytical background.
  2. Naturally curious problem solver.
  3. Industry experience within both (multi-geo) iGaming and/or Paid Media Marketing - you should have comfort performing CAC, LTV and unit economics calculations & analysis.
  4. Advanced skills in data analytics platforms such as Tableau or Looker.
  5. Experience of running a budgeting process within a matrix organisation.
  6. Experience scenario modelling to facilitate business decisions.
  7. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex financial, data and operational KPIs in a clear and concise manner.
  8. Mature analytical skills with a history of deriving business insights and turning these into actionable plans.
  9. Able to develop crisp communication materials for senior and non-financial stakeholders.
  10. Ability to think strategically about what's right for the business.
  11. You excel in collaborative environments, working effectively with a diverse group of internal and external partners.
