TheProducts commercial team comprises of 29 commercial professionalsof all grades and experience, who provide valued and trustedbusiness advice by ensuring a balance of both maximisingopportunities and managing business risk. - Work directly for the Products Head of Commercialto specifically focus on the early stages of campaign strategyacross the Products group within the BAE Systems Maritime Servicesbusiness unit Workclosely with our Business Development managers and the businesssector leads to develop and deliver the Commercial aspects of thecampaign strategy
- Providehands on commercial knowledge and experience, built on a backgroundof competitive and directed tenders for both domestic and exportbids and programmes
- Supportthe development and delivery of the overall campaign strategy witha strong focus on route to contract, negotiation strategies,pricing strategies and ultimately margin and scope growth Be seen asone of the senior members of the Products commercial team and playan active role in the management and development of the overallcommercial team Develop,maintain excellent working relationships with both internal andexternal customers andstakeholders Haveestablished and strong commercial/contractual skills gained from acommercial career in the defence or adjacentindustries
Essential:
- Established Commercial background within themilitary/defence/aerospace sector for both UK MOD and exportcustomers Ideallythe candidate can demonstrate examples of how they havesignificantly played a part in the development and delivery ofcommercial strategy, through an in-depth professional knowledge ofCommercial principles, techniques and practices Self-motivated and comfortable with working in aholistic strategic environment but able to independently identifyand deliverobjectives Stronganalytical and numerical skills and proficient with all MicrosoftOffice products
