COMMUNITY CHILD AND ADOLESCENT CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST (DARTFORD) NELFT North East London Foundation Trust

Contract: Substantive

Hours: Frequency 1:14; Category A - 3% on call supplement

Location: Unit 1, Twisleton Court, Priory Hill, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2EN

Qualifications needed:
  1. Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  2. CCT or equivalent
  3. Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  4. Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  5. Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Dartford CAMHS Community Team. This post is currently vacant and we wish to recruit to this position as soon as possible.

Job responsibilities

You will be expected to:

  1. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Dartford.
  2. Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  3. Work directly with young people and their families and liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  4. Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:14, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement
  5. Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member
  6. Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies
