About usYou will be aUK registered medical professional, who is listed on theSpecialist GMC register. You should also be able to demonstrate a high level of skill in the operative and non-operative aspects on the management and assessment of the following areas:
Slit-Lamp examination Gonioscopy Fundoscopy Tonometry Refraction
You will also be required to demonstrate a high level of operative skill in the following areas:
High Volume Phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia Eyelid surgery Laser treatment

Person Specification Qualifications Essential- GMC registration
- Specialist register
- Wide training and experience in general ophthalmology
- Able to offer expert clinical opinion on range of problems within ophthalmology
- Able to take full and independent responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision
- Experience of high volume cataract surgery under topical anaesthesia
- Understanding of Clinical Governance
- Evidence of clinical outcomes
- GMC registration
- Specialist register
