  • Being cared for in the least restrictive environment
  • Effective liaison and joint working with Locality team.

In taking on this role, you will be part of a visionary and inspiring team and will be joining a group of individuals whose main goal is to support our patients and their families with their recovery journey and to live their best life.

As Consultant Psychiatrist you will play a pivotal role within the hospital's Multi-Disciplinary Team, which consists of other professionals such as: Psychologist, Assistant Psychologist, Occupational Therapists (OT), OT Assistants and students, Registered Nurses and Student Nurses/Apprentices, Health Care Assistants, Pharmacist, and Independent Mental Health Advocate.

The hospital works closely with NHS partners to ensure that patients safely transition from our Acute Services back into the community, with robust follow-up support packages.

The acute wards on site provide patients with excellent space and facilities, including en-suite bedrooms and large living spaces furnished with activity equipment such as games consoles.

Outside of the wards, a purpose-built therapy suite contains a rehabilitation kitchen for patient cooking sessions, and a sessional therapy room. The hospital is set in the centre of an extensive nature reserve, which contains an abundance of flora & fauna. The site also has areas for outside sports activity.

The clinical team at Lakeside View encourage full involvement of the service user, their family and external professionals throughout their stay. They are invited to attend Ward Reviews and CPA meetings to ensure clear communication throughout the care pathway in order to promote individuals' recovery and facilitate discharge.
