Job Description

Our treatments are recovery focused and provided by an experienced multidisciplinary team. We offer a range of specific therapeutic programs and occupational therapy activities, both hospital and community-based.

Main Duties of the Job

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team of 4.7 consultants.

Applications are welcome from applicants with a CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or Rehabilitation Psychiatry.

About Us

Kemple View is situated in the beautiful Ribble Valley. It provides low secure and rehabilitation and recovery services to 90 male patients.

Job Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews, and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
  2. Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
  3. Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.
  4. Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.
  5. Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.
  6. Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to assessment, formulation, and treatment.
Person Specification Qualifications
