Consultant Radiologist with interest in Paediatric Radiology

We're excited to be offering you the chance to join our team of 25 consultants, as a consultant cross-sectional Radiologist. This new post reflects the ever-increasing demand for cross-sectional imaging in a friendly and expanding radiology department within a hospital rated by the CQC as Good, and Outstanding for caring. As the dominant provider of diagnostic imaging in the county we work closely with colleagues in surrounding Trusts to deliver services to a catchment of over 544,000.
We are a dynamic, ambitious and progressive, high performing department, with over 98% of reports completed within 2 weeks.
There is great local expertise, and you will work alongside current and former presidents of many leading Radiology Societies, including The BSPR, BSGAR and BSIR.
Interviews will be held on Friday 17th January 2025.
Main duties of the jobAn interest in paediatric, thoracic, head & neck, GI/GU or neuroradiology is desirable, but we will happily consider candidates with other subspecialty interests. You'll work in a department with 3 MRI scanners, 4 CT scanners, 5 Ultrasound bays, as well as benefiting from onsite static PET-CT scanner and purpose-built oncology centre.

Person Specification Qualifications- Entry on Specialist Register with CCT in Radiology 6 months of date of interview for this post
- Full GMC registration
- Demonstrable commitment and enthusiasm for Diagnostic Radiology
- Sub-specialty Radiology training
- Clear, logical thought processes displaying an analytical/scientific approach
- Evidence of ability to mentor staff, both medical and nursing
