Consultant Radiologist with special interest in Women's Imaging

Hywel Dda Radiology is looking to recruit a dynamic, motivated Consultant Radiologist with special interest in Women's Imaging to join a progressive team of consultants and contribute to the ongoing development of radiological services across our Health Board.
Main duties of the jobThis appointment is Health Board wide, and the successful candidate would join the radiology team to provide MSK CT, MRI, ultrasound, and interventional services to support the Health Board. The candidate will contribute to the wider workload of the department subject to job plan discussions, including general radiology, second on call rotas, teaching of radiology trainees, reporting Radiographers, undergraduate students, and other hospital staff. Flexible working arrangements will be considered and discussions as to individual requirements and how they could be accommodated are welcomed.
Person Specification Qualifications- Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
- On Specialist Register/SpR due to obtain relevant CCT/CESR(CP) within 6 months of interview
- Relevant Higher Degree e.g. MD; PhD; MSc MRCP
- Broad based experience in General Radiology
- Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and participation in CPD
- Competence and expertise in General Radiology
- Experience of NHS Wider experience, research and training in providing sub specialty service
- Evidence of above average performance Additional clinical qualification(s)
- Evidence of participation in clinical audit and understanding role of audit in improving medical practice
- Knowledge of risk management
- Experience and knowledge of critical appraisal of evidence so as to improve clinical outcomes
- Evidence of initiating, progressing and concluding research projects with publication
- Evidence of organising programmes and teaching medical students and junior doctors
- Organisation of further teaching programmes in medical education "Training the Trainers" experience
- Knowledge of the management and structure of the NHS
- Evidence of management training
