Contracts Manager - £50,000 - £60,000 DOE + Package

Your new company :
I am currently working with a respected haulage and civil engineering contractor based in Cumbria. With a strong reputation for delivering quality services throughout the North West, they specialise in a range of services including groundworks, civil engineering, and haulage. They are currently looking to bring in an experienced Contracts/Construction Manager with general groundworks/civil experience to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple groundworks and civil engineering projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of groundworks and civil engineering projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular progress reports for senior management and clients.
  • Drawings and take-offs.
  • Write programs.
  • What you'll need to succeed :
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the groundworks and civil sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
