About Pyne and the Role
We at Pyne (€2.6mio preseed by tier 1 VCs Lightspeed, SquareOne, Sequoia) make navigating complex software effortless. Imagine having the best product expert guiding every step-that's our vision for SaaS platforms, powered by AI-driven, personalized demos. We've found a product customers love and want you to help us get to the next level. As our Co-Founder & CPTO, you'll:
- Own our product & tech strategy and manage a team of 6 AAA FTEs
- Build tomorrow's version of human-computer interaction using gen AI.
- Shape how customers engage with digital platforms and solve real-world problems with cutting-edge technology.
- Work alongside and help shape our world-class team backed by top-tier VCs .
We're looking for a hands-on SaaS innovator with:
- Experience leading (ideally building) a VC-funded startup.
- Deep knowledge of B2B SaaS, AI applications, and problem-obsessed product building.
- The drive to build something game-changing.
If this is you, please read on.
TasksAs a co-founder, you will act as an innovation partner to our customers while driving internal efficiency to build beloved, fast, and top-quality products.
- End-to-end ownership of the product and tech organization, including building out and carrying the product and tech vision and strategy.
- Work closely with customers to test, gather feedback, and iterate on new product angles and features, ensuring they solve real-world problems. You are responsible (with the contribution of esp. Roman) that our roadmap is dictated by our prioritized customers' problems, not by our opinions.
- Drive innovation and execution, identifying new ways to deliver value faster through cutting-edge technology, balancing contextual needs, the team's capabilities, and long-term goals.
- Work (nearly uncomfortably) close to our users-obsess over customer problems and opportunities, gathering and translating insights into innovative, impactful solutions.
- Shape the company's strategic direction together with Roman and make sure we deliver results with speed and agility.
- Foster a culture of ownership, integrity, and relentless customer focus across the tech and product teams. You can find further information about our team and culture here: Join the Pyne team
- Act as a mentor to our talented team of engineers, designers, and product managers (6 direct reports) and play a key role in hiring and developing top-tier talent as we scale.
- Own decisions around the evolution of our tech stack, ensuring that it scales with our vision and remains optimized for future growth.
Metrics of Success:
Your success will be measured by revenue growth that's driven by customer happiness, resulting from our product solving their most pressing problems, and by us reaching a AAA Seed funding round in 2025.
Our current tech stack is
- Tech: React, Typescript, Tailwind, Next.js, PostgreSQL, OpenAI
- Hosting: Render, Supabase, Cloudflare
- Workflow: GitHub, Notion, Figma, Retool
You're a hands-on innovator with deep experience in B2B SaaS and a passion for using technology to solve customer problems.
- Entrepreneurial Grit: You have experience either founding or being a first decision-maker in a startup (VC-funded preferred), understand what it takes to build a company, thrive in high-ownership environments, and are self-motivated by delivering results. You cannot "not" found a company because your fingers keep itching to build something useful and innovative.
- Customer-Obsessed: You're not here to build a company-you're here to build products that solve real problemsfor customers. You prioritize customer outcomes over internal product goals and turn feedback into strategy and tangible product improvements.
- Deep SaaS Knowledge: You understand the complexities of building and scaling B2B SaaS products and the unique challenges that larger SaaS orgs face. With this knowledge, you've developed a strong intuition of what works and what doesn't over the years.
- AI Application Expertise: You know how to apply AI to real-world business problems and leverage it to create intuitive product experiences.
- Technical Mastery: You're a full-stack machine and can build prototypes fast yourself if needed. You are deeply familiar with the technical side of building products, from architecture to infrastructure. You know how to optimize a tech stack for scalability, and you understand the importance of clean architecture, database management, and efficient backend processes, balancing short-term needs and long-term investments.
- Team Leadership: You've built and led tech and product teams before, and know how to create a high-performing, engaged team that shares a commitment to stellar customer experiences and entrepreneurship. Tech and product teams you've worked with before praised you for your drive, mentorship, integrity, and ability to lead by example.
- Opinionated, but kind and low-ego: You have strong opinions, but are graceful in your disagreement. You bring bold, well-thought-out opinions to the table but know that the best outcomes often come from healthy debates. You're confident in your ideas but humble enough to disagree with grace, always seeking the best solution for the team, the product, and the customers.
A unique opportunity to join as a co-founder to a high-performing team with tier 1 investors and a compensation package that reflects your importance to our success
