They are looking to add a driven and experienced Credit Controller, who can support some ad-hoc transactional finance for a full-time role.

Working hours: 8:30-17:00, with a 1-hour lunch
Salary: £25k - £30k per annum, dependent on experience

Your new role
As a Finance Assistant - Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely collection of outstanding debts, alongside being flexible and experienced enough to support ad-hoc transactional finance for the finance team where required. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Chasing overdue payments from clients.
  • Posting receipts and processing expenses.
  • Reconciling purchase invoices and statements.
  • Ad-hoc support on Ledgers when debt-chasing is not required
  • Managing both the purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Liaising with sites to answer queries and gather information.
  • Communicating effectively with suppliers and customers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with general administrative tasks.
  • What you'll need to succeed
    To be successful in this role, you should possess:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage 200/50, Xero etc).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role or within a finance team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
