CTP Information Manager

What's involved with this role: Title: CTP Information ManagerJob Ref: MPX TCLZ / 1Pay Rate: Up to £36,864 per annum, dependant on experienceMinimum DV Clearance. Candidates must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting Security Check (enhanced) DV level.A CTP Information Manager is needed on a permanent basis.The primary role as the Information Manager / Information Access Officer will be to ensure the smooth and efficient processing of the Freedom of Information requests, providing guidance and support and drafting appropriate responses, which meet all statutory obligations.Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the database of all FOIA requests received is maintained.
2. Research all relevant FOIA requests on secure systems.
3. Research all FOIA requests received on the MPS intranet and the external internet for information in the public domain.
4. Consult with internal stakeholders to ensure that information is provided to allow an appropriate response to be drafted.
5. Draft FOIA responses that are time compliant.
6. Assist other Commands in their search for information that may relate to SO or CT related information.
7. Work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders, ensuring a consistent approach to FOIA and compliance with Data Protection legislation.
8. Supervision of the Information Officer
9. Keep up to date on developments in the field of information legislation and record management to ensure that CTPHQ / SO are compliant.
10. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
11. Assist with Right of Access Requests where CT information is sought.

Skills & Experience:

1. Previous working experience in a freedom of information environment or extensive knowledge of FOIA and Data Protection legislation.
2. Experience of drafting concise accurate reports.
3. Experience of working collaboratively at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders, with ability to negotiate and influence.
4. Ability to communicate complex or specialist information clearly to a range of audiences.
5. Proven experience in decision-making, with an ability to demonstrate assertiveness.
6. Proven managerial experience - desirable
7. Previous experience of the CT environment and knowledge of the CT Network - desirable
8. Knowledge of MPS systems i.e. CONNECT, CRIS, CRIMINT, IIP etc and secure system NCIA - desirable
9. CycFreedom trained or willing to be trained - desirable
