Job Description

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Data & Analytics Analyst for a 4 Months contract based in Edinburgh (Manchester and London office available as well), Hybrid (once per week in the office).

Purpose of the Role:

As a Data & Analytics Analyst, you will collaborate with the Retail Banking Remediation Policy Team and Remediation Operations to ensure we deliver the best outcomes for the client's customers on a large scale, making things right when improvements or corrections are needed.

You will support with delivery of the Banking Remediation workstack.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a Data & Analytics Analyst (SQL and Remediation essential) you will be responsible for:

  • Addressing potential remediation issues by identifying and evaluating concerns and developing the most suitable customer solutions.
  • Designing and implementing effective customer treatments, managing the remediation programme within Retail Banking from initiation through to project completion.
  • Ensuring customers are restored to their rightful position, with no financial detriment to their circumstances.
  • Identifying impacted customer populations using both On prem and cloud based analytical software (a combination of Teradata SQL, Snowflake, SAS, and Excel).

What we require from the candidate:

  • UK Retail Banking & Remediation Methodology experience.
  • Experience in SQL (essential), SAS, Snowflake, and GitLab.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify relevant data sources and create data-driven solutions.
  • Experience working in retail banking or a remediation environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting with both on-prem and cloud-based data.
  • Strong stakeholder management and governance experience.
