Job Description

Data Platform Engineer - 12 Months - Remote

Global Enterprise Partners is currently seeking a Data Platform Engineer on behalf of a client in the FMCG sector. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure data platforms to support business insights and analytics.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the adoption of new data technologies and platforms.
  • Collaborate with business segments to identify data platform requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies for new platforms and technologies.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing data infrastructure.
  • Optimize the data platform for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Implement data quality, governance, and security technologies.
  • Support data-driven initiatives by collaborating with data platform engineers and analysts.
  • Research and evaluate emerging data technologies.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept projects to assess new technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Spark, SQL Database, DevOps/Git, Data Lake, Delta Lake, Power BI).
  • Working knowledge of Azure WebApp and Networking.
  • Understanding of Azure AI Services, ML, Unity Catalog, and data catalog technologies such as Purview.
  • Proficiency in Azure, Snowflake, AWS, or GCP is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and one additional programming language (Java, C#, C++).
  • Experience with data warehousing and data lake technologies.
  • Solid understanding of database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Ability to develop and implement data platform architecture.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools.
