The Role

We are looking for a fully remote analyst/data scientist who will use their expertise in scientific data and their healthcare knowledge to support the creation of meaningful business insights through data analytics, data science, and data visualization, answering critical business questions facing senior executives in global pharma today.

You will be working in a dynamic environment as part of the Analytics team in the Business Consulting group at Veeva. You will be focused on data analytics and data visualization, with the opportunity to also get involved with generative AI, data engineering, data mining, and machine learning. You will work closely with the consultants to develop and create insights from scientific and medical data. What You'll Do

  • Analyze data from Veeva Data Cloud and also external data
  • Design, build, and maintain visualizations/dashboards/data pipelines to identify relevant data trends
  • Leverage machine learning, NLP, GenAI, and other data science techniques to uncover insights
  • Clearly and confidently describe the data structure and analytical approach you adopt to solve a specific business question
  • Work in a collaborative cross-functional team delivering business-relevant data analytics and insights for pharma to support their R&D, pre-launch, launch, and post-launch strategies
  • As required, present your findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders at pharma and justify your findings
  • Support innovation and large-scale transformative insights projects

Requirements

  • MD/PhD/MSc with a thorough understanding of scientific activities from medical experts (congresses, publications, etc.)
  • Experience with data analytics and large/complex datasets
  • Succinct, clear, and logical working style
  • Collaborative and flexible working style
  • Ambition for high-quality and self-motivated work

Nice to Have

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Spotfire, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.)
  • Experience with Python, prompt engineering, machine learning, or NLP.
  • Experience in structuring and successfully executing large and complex insights projects
  • Understanding of medical and commercial needs of global pharmaceutical customers
  • Confidence, comfort, and familiarity in driving discussions with senior stakeholders in pharma
