The Kantar Insights Enterprise Architecture function provides leadership on the Insights division's technology strategy and the evolution of our enterprise IT architecture. The EA team are highly collaborative and work closely with the wider group function to ensure each division's technology strategies are appropriately aligned. Working with a broad range of colleagues and stakeholders at all levels (from the C suite to the frontline), the EA team focuses on striking a pragmatic balance between supporting in-flight initiatives and steering longer-term investment. Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, the Enterprise Architect for Data & Analytics is accountable for Kantar Insights Data & Analytics technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of the IT architecture elements of Data & Analytics & GenAI strategy and acting as an internal consultant to the projects and initiatives involved across all our systems.
  • Reviewing and shaping alignment of Data & Analytics & GenAI technology to support multi-functional needs and ensuring technology roadmaps/investments for relevant platforms meet the broader business strategy.
  • Serve as the 'go-to' Data expert within the Architecture team leading on topics such as databases, enterprise data platform (data lakes & data warehousing/BI), AI & ML, and data management (Data Modelling, Data integration, Data quality, Data Protection, Data Stewardship & Ownership).
Job Accountabilities
  • Lead and own the data technology strategy and vision and overall roadmap to achieve the maturity across Kantar business domains.
  • Working closely with Solution Architects and other technical leads to ensure data & analytics architecture elements of projects are included.
  • Drive the architecture and roadmap for Generative AI enterprise technology platform within Kantar to support experimentation and production.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Data protection office to drive the Gen AI technology controls that are aligned with Responsible AI framework.
  • Work with the Cloud Technology partner and other suppliers to land the capabilities leveraging the cloud native technology.
  • Working with staff across Kantar to build and maintain valuable and productive working relationships and ensure that the needs of the business are met.
  • Close collaboration with the Group Information Security department will be critical.
  • Review, align and prioritise technology change initiatives so that work is not unnecessarily duplicated and is correctly sequenced against known dependencies.
  • Building and subsequently maintaining capability and technology roadmaps that define how Data Management, Engineering, Science, Analytics, and Visualisation platforms are kept up to date and deliver optimal value for the business.
  • Drive the data management architecture to drive the maturity to land Data catalog, MDM/RDM and Enterprise Data modelling across Kantar.
  • Support to shape the Data Stewardship and ownership function within Kantar.
  • Play key role in the execution of Enterprise Architecture's Technical Design Assurance - focusing on the data aspects of technology change.
  • Maintaining key enterprise architecture artefacts (e.g. current states, target states etc.) showing how we evolve the data & analytics architecture across our IT estate in place over time as the company progresses.
Capabilities and Experience
  • Strong enterprise architecture skills, particularly in aligning strategic business requirements and the IT architectures & roadmaps needed to deliver against them.
  • Expertise in data & integration architecture including topics such as data lakes, 'data fabric', data warehousing, batch data integration, events and data streaming, data management etc.
  • Knowledge on Gen AI LLM models, prompt engineering & RAG and related cloud tools to build a reusable architecture for experimentation.
  • Knowledge on Gen AI Responsible AI framework and related technology controls.
  • Expertise in governance and assurance for enterprise data (data models, resources, products etc.) and integration (e.g. interfaces, Events etc.).
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment within which Kantar operates.
  • Background in the use of integration and big data technologies to create a 'data fabric' or 'data platform' for use in across the business domains helpful.
  • Experience operating with different IT delivery approaches such as agile, waterfall, iterative etc.
  • An understanding of total cost ownership of IT assets and functions.
  • Have a good appreciation of solution architecture, software and solution delivery practices, IT infrastructure and application architecture.
  • Familiarity with patterns, practices, and frameworks of Enterprise Architecture.
  • Good interpersonal skills, expert level stakeholder management, being able to influence change and finding consensus, making imperfect decisions.
  • Be confident in presenting high-level technical architecture and strategy to both IT and business audience.
  • Be a business-focussed, creative, innovative pragmatic and positive teammate!
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in the market research sector.
  • Relevant experience of developing complex cases for strategic change.
