Director Financial Accounting (m f div)

Your role and responsibilities

• Ensure Financial Regulatory Accounting based on German HGB (IFRS knowledge a benefit), including establishing an accounting policy for new transactions and enhancing internal controls.
• Manage German corporate tax, trade tax, VAT reporting, payroll tax, and other tax compliance (EU wide knowledge a benefit).
• Manage financial audits (e.g. Deloitte or HQ) and tax audits (e.g. Finanzamt, Zoll or HQ).
• Manage and motivate a team of accountants to ensure daily tasks and responsibilities are met to operate the company.
• Initiate continuous process improvements to benefit the Accounting team and partner departments to drive process efficiencies.

Your profile

• Proven work experience as an Accounting manager
• Demonstrable leadership abilities
• Expertise in resolving conflicts and fostering healthy workplace relationships
• Familiarity with SAP
• Thorough knowledge of German GAAP
• Tax regulations and audit
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills round off your profile
