Responsibilities

As our Director International Tax you are the primary contact for all global tax matters and reporting directly to the Vice President Finance. Your key responsibilities are:

  • Provide strategic tax leadership and expertise in support of M&A activities, ensuring tax efficiency and compliance throughout the transaction process
  • Manage tax audits, disputes, and coordinate with external advisors
  • Review international tax returns and ensure compliance
  • Provide guidance on tax implications of global business operations
  • Monitor changes in international tax legislation and assess impact on the company
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams on tax-related matters
  • Maintain tax documentation and mitigate tax risks
  • Train and support our internal teams on global tax matters
  • Research and monitor international tax laws and changes
  • Identify strategic tax-saving opportunities to enhance overall financial performance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in international tax strategy
  • Master's degree in Tax Management, Accounting or International Law (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred)
  • Experience with transfer pricing, tax provision calculations as well as with tax compliance
  • Knowledge of M&A tax implications and ability to provide strategic tax advice to senior management
  • Experience with tax audits and disputes in a multinational environment (Pharma/Life Sciences Sector preferred)
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Fluency in English is a must, multiple other languages are a plus

The base salary for this position starts at € 110.000 gross per year based on full-time employment.
