The worldwide Apple Retail Engagement & Marketing (REM) team defines, makes and delivers programs, campaigns, initiatives and experiences that help Apple Retail's customers and teams discover, be inspired by, learn about and go further with Apple's products and services, and does so in a manner that is true to our values. The Director of REM for EMEIA will be a key regional leader for our team and our work, demonstrating functional marketing expertise, deep industry and market knowledge and business prowess to positively impact customer and employee engagement.

Description

In this role, you will partner with regional Field Leadership, Online Store, Retail Stores Operations, Retail Design and Merchandising, People and other teams across Apple to ensure cohesive execution of business critical retail engagement and marketing initiatives. Develop and implement comprehensive external-facing marketing and internal-facing employee engagement strategies for REM that align with EMEIA business goals. Lead impactful and relevant internal communication strategies that cultivate transparency, engagement, and alignment with retail business goals that connect with a highly engaged workforce. Drive digital transformation efforts and ensure these strategies enhance both customer and employee experiences. Ensure we have robust practices in place to understand performance and impact of all programs, projects and initiatives the team is accountable for implementing. Provide cross-functional Retail leadership and teams with actionable insights and recommendations based on industry trends and business performance. Act as a key advisor in crafting key initiatives in the local markets. Be the authority on regional trends and innovations in the retail sector. Apply this knowledge to innovate and deliver world-class experiences in the market. Advocate for vital resources and support for employee key initiatives. Lead by example in promoting diversity and inclusion within the team. Ensure these values are coordinated into all programs and initiatives, and actively participate in diversity and inclusion communities. Track record of aligning priorities, managing multiple work streams, and fostering collaboration across global teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a senior strategic marketing role.
  • Extensive years of people management leading and developing high-performing teams of 5+ including managers and senior level individual contributors.

  • Extensive years of experience in strategic marketing with a strong focus on external-facing marketing and internal-facing employee engagement programs, including internal communications and/or training & development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead integrated marketing engagement programs and proven track record delivering key metrics that increase revenue for the company.
  • Expertise in EMEIA region social and digital landscape, including emerging trends and market challenges.
  • Proven ability to drive innovation in customer and team engagement based on insights and trends.
  • Clear ability to navigate a matrixed organization and influence decisions without direct authority.
  • An encouraging leader of people who is able to recruit, empower, and develop outstanding talent. A phenomenal teammate who leads from the front and will be the champion for doing what's right.
  • A strong sense of creativity to help in crafting compelling campaigns and messaging. You generate innovative ideas that resonate with the internal and external audiences.
  • A strategic problem solver who can simplify the complex, craft a vision and translate into an executable plan, sharing and gaining feedback/alignment to that plan locally in GEO and with worldwide team.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes. Able to use this insight to make informed decisions, anticipate market trends, and pivot strategies as needed.
  • Ability to synthesize complex requirements into actionable strategies and editorial calendars.
  • A doer who is hands on and not afraid of diving into the details.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills including business level proficiency in English.
