The Director of Order to Cash is an analytical and process-driven leader responsible for overseeing all functions and workflow of the order process, including order review, billing, and collections. The role requires experience in high-growth SaaS environments and working closely with senior leadership in both the customer acquisition (sales) and customer retention (renewals) teams, accounting, customer success, and product teams. This is a leadership position reporting to the Senior Director, Commercial Finance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Direct oversight and responsibility for order management, billing, and day-to-day collection activities, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate with GTM Operations, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Sales, Customer Success, and Accounting to ensure orders are approved for processing and meet all compliance and processing requirements.
  • A key member of the opportunity to cash team. Engage in transformation efforts by identifying enhancements, garnering support, aligning stakeholders, drafting requirements, and overseeing change management.
  • Lead, nurture, and mentor a diverse team of 15+ direct and indirect staff.
  • Manage the Order Management team processes to ensure accuracy of orders in NetSuite, and drive team for timely completion of month-end close activities.
  • Oversee the preparation, issuance, and tracking of invoices to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
  • Assist the Sr. Accounts Receivable Manager in developing and executing collection strategies to minimize outstanding receivables.
  • Oversee the monthly billing and AR close process to meet corporate accounting close timelines.
  • Regularly publish insightful performance dashboards including volumes, accuracy, rework, and compliance.
  • Build trusting relationships with sales, renewals, accounting, and IT business partners and engage key stakeholders in regular communication. Share insights on business trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead process improvement and other system implementation projects related to the order to cash cycle.
  • Work collaboratively with Data Services and FP&A to report monthly ARR results.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of concentrated experience in order to cash process.
  • Microsoft office suite.
  • NetSuite experience, experience with Zones Billing a plus.
  • Strong executive presence with proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.
  • Data driven with proven success leveraging data and analytics to inform and shape policy and decisions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership capacity to resolve complex problems within a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to work well independently, in a team environment, and with remote employees.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.

Education

Bachelor's degree or comparable industry experience, accounting experience desired.
