Are you ready to take the helm of a transformative digital journey in healthcare? As the Head of Information Technology Group (ITG) for HCA's Expanse project team, you'll lead a pivotal initiative that will redefine patient care and enhance the healthcare experience through innovative digital solutions.

Your Role & Impact

In this leadership role, you'll drive the successful implementation of HCA's state-of-the-art EHR system, Meditech Expanse. Your expertise will be instrumental in the seamless integration of this technology, which is already advancing through key phases of the project. We're seeking an experienced IT leader to ensure that the necessary infrastructure, including network, server, cloud, and cybersecurity services, is robustly developed and deployed.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Oversee functionalities; data, reporting, testing and integrations. Ensure the solution is effectively tested and transitioned into a sustainable support model, delivering long-term value to the organisation.

Workstream Management: Lead five ITG workstreams critical to delivering the EHR solution, encompassing Data Management, Testing, Integration & Interoperability, Enterprise Architecture, and Cloud Services. Guide a team of 23 professionals to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery.

System Leadership: With guidance from the Programme Director, exercise considerable autonomy in overseeing EHR digital solutions and pathways, collaborating closely with clinical leadership teams.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure the new system meets clinical needs, influencing key decisions on system design and training.

Resource & Financial Oversight: Manage IT resources within the project, ensuring alignment with KPIs and providing regular updates to the executive team. Exercise discretion in addressing complex issues related to deliverables and scope.

  • Progressive Leadership: Extensive experience in leading large-scale IT initiatives within the healthcare sector.
  • Project Ownership: Proven track record of leading complex projects with multiple resources and stakeholders, driving change programs from inception to completion.
  • Technology & Change Management: Expertise in developing technology solutions and managing organizational change, driving cultural shifts and operational efficiencies. Particularly data, reporting, testing and integrations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skills in managing and engaging stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Organisational Excellence: Strong organisational skills, adaptability, and a solution-oriented approach in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Resource & Budget Management: Demonstrated accountability in people management and service line productivity.
