Engineering - London - Vice President - Software Engineering

Goldman Sachs is looking for talented software engineers to join Goldman's mission-critical data infrastructure engineering team. You will engage in hands-on engineering, writing code to deliver critical technical solutions for large scale distributed and monolithic data storage and data messaging systems. There is a strong focus on robust functional correctness, durability, performance, system security, and more.

Senior Java Infrastructure Engineer Role

• Essential Skills
  • At least 6 years of experience with Java
  • At least 4 years of experience building and deploying software on Linux-based platforms
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with system designs involving distributed transactions, distributed consensus or distributed replication systems
  • Experience working in large projects with complex dependencies.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex requirements and defining a clear delivery roadmap to stakeholders

And at least one of

• At least 4 years of experience with Messaging technologies (such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, and others)
• At least 4 years of experience with Database technologies (IBM DB2, MongoDB, Postgres, Sybase ASE, and others)
