Are you an ambitious non-audit assurance expert with a track record of supporting your clients' ESG goals?

The ESG team focuses on providing high-value non-audit ESG assurance and advisory services to a wide range of mid-market private and listed companies ranging in size, industry and ESG maturity.

About the Role:

As the ESG Director of assurance & advisory, you will lead a growing team of experts at an exciting time of investment and business opportunity. Leading the team's ambitious growth plans, you will deliver ESG assurance and advice to clients in an exciting range of industry sectors, supporting their regulatory and commercial ESG obligations and ambitions. As a small, high-growth team with ringfenced investment secured, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape the future strategic direction of the ESG offering. This brings an opportunity for an ambitious assurance leader who is looking to develop and grow the ESG assurance team in a high-profile role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Being the subject matter expert across the firm on changes to sustainability/ESG regulations and reporting requirements
  2. Originating and developing a pipeline of prospects
  3. Ensuring team's practices and service offerings are compliant with assurance standards
  4. Partnering with board-level executives on complex ESG issues, negotiating and influencing where required
  5. Utilising your understanding of ESG and market insights on trends and technology to identify how to maximise client coverage and opportunities
  6. Maintaining quality of engagements, with a key focus on improvement and feedback
  7. Motivating and encouraging the team, providing timely constructive feedback
  8. Leading the ESG assurance team through an exciting period of growth and expansion
Skills and Experience:
  1. Experience leading non-audit assurance teams specialising in ESG
  2. Experience in designing and implementing non-audit assurance work programmes
  3. Comfortable delivering ESG advisory projects (Double materiality assessments, Gap analysis, maturity Assessments etc.)
  4. High level of familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks and standards (ISSB, CSRD, etc.)
  5. Ideally qualified ACA
