Job Description

A large Utilities Company is now looking for a Finance Director.
Utilities Background essential.

Location: London

Reporting to the Group Financial Director Managing Director.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  1. to provide other financial information to senior managers;
  2. to allocate financial resources;
  3. to manage cash and working capital;
  4. to manage credit risk;
  5. to provide financial expertise in the development of customer and supplier contracts;
  6. the management of finance team;
  7. membership of management team;
  8. to support the Managing Director in the development and implementation of commercial strategy and business plan;
  9. to produce accurate and timely management information and reporting schedules;
  10. to liaise with external auditors.

Competency/Skills/Knowledge/Qualification

The successful applicant must:

  1. be PQE, ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified;
  2. have previous experience of contract/job (small works) costing;
  3. have commercial awareness;
  4. have strong people management skills;
  5. be an effective communicator with the ability to influence at all levels;
  6. have the ability to contribute to day to day operations, as well as strategically.
