Food Tech Teacher/ Cover Supervisor

You will teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that help students build their knowledge and skills in food preparation, nutrition, and health.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to students of varying abilities.
• Inspire students to develop their culinary skills, food science understanding, and knowledge of nutrition.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment within the food technology classroom.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Act as a Cover Supervisor when required, managing classrooms in the absence of subject teachers, ensuring students remain on task and following lesson plans.
• Maintain positive behaviour and learning environments in line with school policies.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience or qualifications in food technology will be considered.
• Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, including food preparation, nutrition, and hygiene.
• Experience working with young people in a school setting is desirable.
• Flexibility to take on the role of a Cover Supervisor across various subjects when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• A passion for education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
