Job Description

We have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to work for a private service based in Northeast London. This is a full-time role in which the postholder will be responsible for leading the assessment and treatment arm of the service.

Roles within this job family are dedicated to providing high quality clinical care for patients referred to and using the services of the hospital. Works closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme based on the recovery model.

Salary: £150,000 per annum

Position: Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist

Hours: Full time

Setting: currently at 19 beds and it's not been full in the last 12 months, long stay low secure rehab ward, low intensity of work

Location: Romford, North East London

For this role, we're looking for someone who is:

  • MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych
  • Full GMC registration with license to practice
  • Registered on the specialist register with in General Adult or Forensics
  • Experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health issues
  • Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice
  • Committed to continued professional development
