Job Description

The General Manager of Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization to ensure efficient, effective, and profitable business processes. This role involves managing operational strategies, improving operational systems, and leading teams to achieve business objectives. The General Manager will work closely with senior leadership to align operations with overall company goals and drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee daily operations across various departments or functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Manage supply chain, production, and logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products or services.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams, including setting performance goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and development of staff to meet operational needs.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue and expenses, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee procurement and inventory management to align with financial targets.
  • Assist the Finance Manager during yearly audits & monthly financial reviews.
  • Oversee and coordinate the resolution of overdue payments.

Logistics Management:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Oversee inventory management, warehousing, and distribution activities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and carriers to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Sales Operations:

  • Support the sales team with operational processes, including order fulfillment, customer service, and inventory management.
  • Develop and manage sales operations processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for strategy adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure adequate stock availability.

After Sales Service:

  • In close collaboration with Group After Sales Servicer Manager, oversee the after-sales service function, addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and warranty claims.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance after-sales support, including efficient issue resolution and customer communication.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to gather customer feedback and implement improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze after-sales service metrics and challenges, striving for continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Able to monitor local sourcing in case of emergency.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect the organization's assets and reputation.
  • Oversee internal audits and ensure corrective actions are taken as necessary.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement initiatives based on data analysis.

Others:

  • Assist the General Manager and sales team when needed.
  • Coordinate IT requests, if any.

Qualification:

  • Engineer, Supply chain or Business school (Bac +4 /5)

+ 10-year experience with:

  • Proven experience in operations management, with a focus on efficiency and process optimization.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Experience overseeing HR & Finance operations.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • Analytical skills to assess operational metrics and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a dynamic business environment.
  • Self-driven, energetic, and able to work well in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication. Excel skills mandatory.
