The project:

Mace is looking to recruit a global head of planning who will overlook our 4 geographical hubs (Europe, MENA, APAC, Americas) across all our markets (sectors) including transport (rail, aviation, highways, ports), resilience (water, nuclear, utilities), defence, central government, local authority, health & life sciences, education and private (retail, corporate real estate).

The successful candidate may have worked for a leading global consultancy and worked across multiple countries and sectors. Managing and leading a large planning team who specialise in P6.

The role will require leading on a commission as well as leading the planning team across all our markets and geographical hubs.

  5. Ownership of the planning portfolio planning & budgeting, business operational resource requirements, ensures compliance with Mace Group reporting cycles and establishing KPIs & OKDs (objectives & key deliverables).
  6. Accountable for delivery of annual financial and operating targets for the planning portfolio (including KPIs, OKDs & business outcomes).
  7. Oversees & promotes effective relationships externally with all clients, suppliers, partners & internally across the CoE community & the wider business.
  8. Utilises comprehensive expertise in planning domain to provide expertise counsel & support (including to engine leadership) on projects.
  9. Oversees the definition & implementation of the service excellence plan creating real distinctive value.
  10. Champions innovation & provides thought leadership across the planning portfolio.
  11. Leads the development of service propositions, specific tools & deployment models within the areas of responsibility.
  12. Collaborates & partners with others across the business & identifies and promotes cross selling opportunities.
  13. Accountable for ensuring required leadership and capability is implemented to deliver the business ambition.
  14. Member of business senior leadership team, inputs into & influences planning portfolio in line with overall engine business strategy.
  15. Demonstrates 'good organisation citizenship' by working in an enterprise-wide way.
  16. Leads planning portfolio by example, setting & working by high standards.
  17. Represents Mace & planning portfolio, manages & influences key C-suite & senior external relationships.
