Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven Global Sales Operations Director to lead our Sales Operations team and influence our sales strategy to achieve exceptional growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, operations, data analytics, and strategy development, with a proven track record of optimizing sales processes, improving sales productivity, and driving revenue growth. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills to align Sales Operations with the company's overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy and Analytics

  • Develop and implement sales operations strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives and growth goals.
  • Collaborate with Commercial leadership to create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, including market penetration, customer acquisition/expansion, and revenue targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape to drive sales growth.
  • Provide analysis and strategic insights to support key commercial processes such as annual target setting, commission/incentive schemes, territory planning, account allocations, and talent reviews.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sales Operations team, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place.
  • Implement and optimize sales processes and tools to improve sales productivity and effectiveness.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in Salesforce, Gong, and other sales systems.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management and the Client Team on sales performance, trends, and opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data to drive decision-making and strategy adjustments.

CRM Systems Administration

  • Manage the organisation's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Gong) and ensure its proper configuration, customisation, and maintenance.
  • Handle user management, permissions, and security settings within the CRM platform.
  • Collaborate with the Client Team, Finance, and IT teams to implement CRM enhancements and integrations with other systems to optimise commercial insights and drive resource efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales operations team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability within the sales operations team.
  • Develop and deliver sales-specific training content/programmes to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Innovation, and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to develop and execute lead generation and sales enablement initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and budget management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a management position.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Gong) and sales enablement tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
