Job Description
Governance Administrator - Mat cover role Mansfield Circa £29k

Main purpose of the job
In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring that our governance processes are up-to-date, fit-for-purpose, and completed accurately and on time to ensure ongoing compliance in all areas of the organisation.

Responsibilities

You will:

Maintain and continually improve our key governance documents, ensuring they are regularly reviewed, and key amendments are effectively communicated.
Liaise with colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure that they are aware of their governance responsibilities, have the information that they need to meet them readily available, and assist them as necessary to complete tasks accurately and on time.
Maintain and update a calendar of key governance events and a procedures manual defining how each event is managed.
Support our governance groups by organising, collating and circulating agendas and papers, taking and distributing accurate minutes and updating action trackers as necessary.
Support our internal audit process, liaising with auditors and auditees, and keeping our internal audit schedule and action trackers up to date.
Support our end-of-year review processes, including our annual governance, functional standards and risk assurance reviews.
Contribute towards our departmental objectives
Undertake any other duties as requested by the Manager.

What you need
• Experience of operating in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience of developing, maintaining and improving effective policies and procedures
• Methodical, organised and accurate.
• Able to work remotely and manage own workload.
• Able to effectively support meetings, including scheduling, collating papers, taking minutes and updating action trackers.
To be resourceful, task-focused and able to problem-solve.
• Experience of using spreadsheets, word processing and databases.

This is a full-time role from Mon-Fri.
