Group Finance Controller

£85-90K + Bonus

Fully Remote (once a month travel to head office in London)

My client is an international management consultancy and are looking for a Group Finance Controller to join the team.

Duties:

  • Oversee Group consolidation and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements across multiple legal entities globally, including commentary on key variances.
  • Manage group audit and coordinate all local audits.
  • Manage a global team of finance professionals focused on local statutory accounting and compliance.
  • Work with relevant external parties such as tax consultants, tax authorities and auditors.
  • Lead process simplification and optimisation through greater reliance on systems.
  • This role will require creation of global accounting practices and procedures to bring all legal entities to one accounting standard.
  • This role will also drive continuous improvement of relevant accounting and operational finance processes to shorten the monthly closing cycle and streamline reporting.
  • Monthly consolidation and preparation of financial statements, including full P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
  • Coordinate monthly closing activities across all legal entities to achieve 3 day close
  • Prepare monthly analysis of results, commenting on key variances against prior periods and Budgets
  • Annual statutory audit, including coordination of all local audits
  • Management of IFRS16 (leases) accounting for all legal entities
  • Oversee calculation of Transfer Pricing revenue and cost for all legal entities
  • Oversee monthly payroll posting and reconciliation for all legal entities
  • Support wider business with relevant process changes such as billing and collection practices

Requirements:

  • ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Familiar with IFRS
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Prior experience managing multiple legal entities, including understanding of FX revaluations and translations
  • Prior experience with transfer pricing practices
  • Ability to work in a diverse international team
  • Lead a team of finance professionals across 7 jurisdictions (UK, Thailand, India, Japan, Jersey, Canada and Australia)
