Job Description
Head of Construction Education and CurriculumLocation: Hybrid- National Travel RequiredWorking: Full TimeSalary: Up to £74,000+ enhanced car allowance of £7100 per annumBenefits:25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days)Option to purchase additional holidayEmployer pension contributions of up to 7%Home-based with regional travel requirementsCompany Overview:Join a well-established training provider with over 60 years of experience, operating across Scotland, England, and Wales. The organisation employs around 400 staff and is renowned for its outstanding training programmes and excellent career development opportunities.Role Overview:In this hands-on role, you will oversee the delivery of construction education, managing curriculum development, quality assurance, and budgetary control. You will lead a team, including Programme Managers and the Delivery Team, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and assessment in both apprenticeship and commercial programmes.Key Responsibilities:Lead curriculum management and support teamsImplement strategies to deliver high-quality, industry-relevant construction trainingEnsure compliance with Ofsted and other industry standardsManage the delivery of apprenticeship and commercial programmesBuild and maintain relationships with key employers and stakeholdersEssential Requirements:A construction-related background with relevant qualificationsIn-depth knowledge of Construction Education training programmesStrong understanding of funding rules for apprenticeshipsProven track record of managing performance through peopleLevel 5 teaching qualificationExtensive experience in educational leadership, including multi-site operationsProven ability to deliver curriculum efficiencies and drive high performanceExcellent team leadership and problem-solving skillsDesirable:Degree or higher qualification in a relevant subjectLevel 5 Leadership and Management qualificationSpecial Requirements:Enhanced DBS checkFull driving licenceFlexibility with working hours and the ability to travel across the UK as requiredFor more information please get in touch with Simon Atkin on
