The Head of Data Engineering role will have direct accountability for the organisation-wide analytics project to produce detailed and real-time management/performance information reports.

Rate: £500 - 750 per day DOE

Location: Remote

IR35 status: Inside

Contract length: 6 months

Job Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of a new data warehouse to deliver analytics for the Research System Transformation Programme, operations, workforce, and finance initiative.
2. The aim of the programme is to deliver a world-class regulatory system - a modern, data-driven, scalable research system essential to UK competitiveness, enhancing system-wide data sharing, increasing transparency, improving market intelligence, reducing unnecessary duplication, and providing greater value to the public.
3. Collaborate with both producers and consumers to progress maturity in data understanding within the organisation and its data quality processes.
4. Work closely with the Associate Director of IT Portfolio Management and Senior Enterprise Architect to ensure alignment with digital strategy.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. NHS/Healthcare experience.
2. Experience in implementing a data warehouse and a strong understanding of all aspects of the Microsoft BI stack.
