Your new role

As the Head of Engineering of encosa, you will be at the forefront of our technological innovation and strategic growth. You will lead the development and execution of our technology strategy, ensuring that our products and services not only meet current market needs but set new industry standards. Your role will involve managing the development of our proprietary Energy Management System and ensuring the scalability and security of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technology Strategy & Leadership: Define and execute the technology roadmap in alignment with our business goals. Lead the development of innovative solutions that drive energy savings for our clients.
  2. Product Development: Oversee the continuous improvement of the encosa Energy Cloud. Lead the integration of new technologies, such as AI-driven analytics, to enhance our service offerings.
  3. Team Building & Management: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing technical team. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  4. Scalability & Security: Ensure that our technology infrastructure is scalable, secure, and capable of supporting our rapid growth.
  5. Partnerships & Collaboration: Work closely with external partners, including data providers and hardware suppliers, to ensure we leverage the best available technologies. Collaborate with the business development and operations teams to align technical initiatives with market needs.
  6. Technical Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure all technological developments are robust, scalable, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Your Profile:
  1. Experience: Proven experience as a team lead or within a startup or rapidly growing company, preferably in the energy, software, or technology sectors.
  2. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software development, cloud computing, and emerging technologies such as AI and IoT. Experience with battery storage systems and energy management solutions is a strong plus.
  3. Leadership & Vision: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a technical team. Visionary thinking with the ability to translate business goals into technological solutions.
  4. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and make decisions that drive innovation and business growth.
  5. Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
  6. Language Skills: English fluency is a must; German proficiency is a plus.
  7. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
